In Base 1 and 2, the children worked with Richard Smith on their superhero theme, They drew their own superhero background using inspiration from their book. They then used a green screen to take pictures of themselves in a superhero pose and then imported their images onto their backgrounds

In our weekly computing sessions, Base 7, 8 and 9 have been working on digital photography and how photo editing software can be used to alter and enhance images. The children have learnt how to crop, rotate, flip and modify effects such as colour contrast and hue. Here are some of our examples .
In Base 5 and 6, they have been adding sound to media – we have recorded a new sound and added it to an animation. Next week, we will be recording a sound and editing it on Audacity as a mini podcast.
In Base 3, we recreated a painting independently in the style of Georges Seurat by selecting appropriate brush sizes and colour in dots on the program paintz.
