Place value grids

Place value grids are used to support children with place value. They offer a scaffold for children moving into larger numbers and support with understanding the number system

Numicon resources

Numicon resources are used through out school to support children with counting and calculating. In KS2 they are used to calculate fractions and compare denominators.

Fractions grid

Fraction grids are used in year 2 and KS2 to understand equivalent fractions and how different fractions with different denominators can be compared. 

Multiplication grids

Multiplication grids are used from year 2 upwards to support children with the recall of their multiplication facts and in conjunction with number sense offer support for children to rapidly recall their number facts.

100 squares

100 square are used throughout the school so that children understand how numbers from 1 -100 are related. Children have constant access to these grids and use them in all lessons
